Special Events
Baby bottles are sent out throughout the community to businesses and churches who have agreed to partner with us. Those baby bottles contain information about WRC and the campaign. They are then filled with change, cash, and checks and returned to us here. Some organizations choose to deliver them back to us themselves while others arrange for a pick-up. All funds collected go directly back into supporting our Center.

We collect items all year round. We hope that you would consider donating your used items to us for the sales. We do offer tax receipts for your donations.

In May of each year, we host a 5K / walk for life. During this event participants can choose to participate in either a full 5K, a 1 mile fun run, or a 1 mile walk. Children are welcome, and families are encouraged to come and participate together. The course is certified, and awards are given to top runners.
We also have vendors there on the day of the race. If you are interested in a vendor spot, please let us know.
In November of each year, we host our largest fundraiser of the year, our gala. For the past 2 years, we have added a fun Big Band theme and have named the night our Big Band Gala for Babies.
We invite our guest to come dressed in their best 30’s and 40’s apparel and join us to celebrate life and learn about and support our mission. Guests are served dinner complete with live entertainment and dancing. Guest speakers explain a little what our mission is and how they can join in supporting us.
We also host a silent auction and many fun booths at the gala including hair & makeup and photo booths.
Our celebrity guest stars have been a big hit in the years past. Local community leaders come dressed as a celebrity from the Big Band Era in hopes of winning of your votes through monetary donations.
You can get involved by sponsoring our event through one of our sponsorship opportunities, volunteering as a celebrity guest, volunteering on the planning committee, or just purchasing your ticket and attending.
